Tax Assistance

Thursdays  10am - 3pm
Saturdays   11am - 2pm
McCallum Room, 4th Floor

February 2 to April 13, 2013

The Frisco Public Library and AARP team up again this year to offer tax form filing assistance and guidance. Assistance is offered on a first come, first served basis.  You will want to arrive with your documents and tax information with you.
 
 


Please bring the following:

  • social security card for each person on the tax return form
  • all necessary tax forms (W-2, SSA-1099, any forms indicating federal tax paid, etc)
  • driver’s license
  • copy of last year’s tax return
  • dependent care provider information (name, employer, social security number, tax ID)
  • all 1099 forms (1099-INT, etc)
  • unemployment compensation

We will have volunteers here to assist starting February 2 through April 7 on Thursdays and Saturdays in the library's McCallum Room located on the 4th floor.

  • Thursdays 10am - 3pm
  • Saturdays  11am - 2pm

Do you need to reserve a time for AARP to do tax assistance?

The workshop works on first come first served basis. A wait may be involved before you are able to recieve one-on-one assitance with your taxes.

It is always better to come over prepared and with the full slate of information so that those providing the tax assistance will have a complete picture of your particular situation.

I've recently closed a tiny little business that showed no income for the tax year 2012 but did have a few expenses. Am I eligible for AARP tax help for both my business that is now closed and my personal taxes?
