Destination: Teen Room – Come Explore!

By FPL_JenB

We understand how busy today’s teens are and we have tried to make our teen space a welcome spot for them to come hang out, relax, and take a break.  Not everyone can make it to the library on the specific day and time of an event- like the Anime Club or our monthly Teen Writers Group– so we have built in activities that teens can enjoy anytime they are in the library.

On your next visit, try out our board games, craft kits, STEM challenge kits,  coloring pages, magnetic poetry, white board panels and tables, video games, and more!  We strive to make as many interactive opportunities available as possible in the teen space.

We also have our new maker area.  We call it our Creation Cart and it contains numerous resources which may be used in our teen room.  There is a Silhouette cutting machine, a mini sewing machine, 3Doodlers, Crayola Melters, Raspberry Pis, knitting and crochet needles, yarn, a greenscreen, and tablets with greenscreen apps.

All of the above may be enjoyed in our Teen space by guests in grades 6-12.  Everything is free to use– no library card needed– with the exception of the video games.  So why not head to the library to hang out for a little while and try out some of these features in our teen room.
