How to Vote in Frisco 2020 (Part 1 of 3)

By FPL_Staff

Are you wanting to vote this year but aren’t sure how? New to Frisco and aren’t sure how to register? Not a problem! Over the next few weeks, we have a blog series to help you prepare for the big day. This first part includes how to register, where to get a voter registration application, where you should mail your application, and important links to help you navigate the process.

How do I register to vote?

To register to vote in the State of Texas, you must fill out a voter registration application and mail the application to your county’s voter registrar 30 days before the election. The last day to register to vote for the November 3rd elections is October 5th, 2020.

Where do I get an application?

There are multiple ways to receive a voter registration application. Here at the library, you can pick one up at the Cards and Accounts Desk.

The Texas Secretary of State offers an online informal form where you can fill out the form online and print the filled out form to mail to your county’s voter registrar. That form can be found using this link:

Remember, this form is not a formal application to vote. The form must be mailed to your county’s voter registrar in order for the application to be processed.

The Texas Secretary of State also provides some alternative options to receive a voter registration application that can be found using the same link above. The options will be located down at the bottom of the page.

Where do I mail my application?

You will mail the filled out form to your county voter registrar. Frisco is in both Collin County and Denton County, so depending on where you live in Frisco will determine which registrar’s office will process your application.

The listed mailing address for Collin County voter registrar is:

Registrar of Voters
2010 Redbud Blvd, Suite 102
McKinney, TX 75069

The listed mailing address for Denton County voter registrar is:

P.O. Box 1720

Denton, TX, 76202

After a few weeks, you will receive a voter registration card.
