DONATE MATERIALS

The library gladly accepts donations of: books, DVDs, magazines, board games, video games, and puzzles. The library does not accept: VHS tapes, computers, or computer peripherals.

Donations are accepted at The Friends Bookshop on the 1st floor of the library during Bookshop hours only, opens a new window. For assistance with larger donations, please ask a Bookshop volunteer. A tax receipt is provided at the time of the donation.

Book Endowments

You may request a Book Endowment or donation for the cost of a single book in the name of a person to Frisco Public Library. A book plate will be placed in each book imprinted with the name of the person in whose honor or memory the book is given. The Frisco Public Library Foundation will also include the name of the donor(s). If you choose, you may suggest subjects for book choices that would be appropriate.

Volunteering for the Frisco Public Library will allow you to meet fellow library enthusiasts, acquire new skills, learn about the inner workings of the library, give back to your community, and assist others! The Frisco Public Library does not participate in court ordered community service.

Adult Volunteer Opportunities

  • Adult volunteer applicants must be over the age of 18 and no longer be in high school.

    You must register to be a volunteer using the City's Online Registration Process, opens a new window.

    Please note that all adult volunteers will be required to pass a yearly background check.

  • Sign into your volunteer account. Click the tab titled Opportunities. Pick an activity and a time. Click Sign Up!

  • Sign into your volunteer account. Click the tab titled Hours. Select which activity you completed, what day you completed it on and how long you spent on that activity. Click Save.

  • There might be a few reasons why some opportunities are not available to you. We might already have enough volunteers for a certain task or you might not have the correct qualifications for a task. If you are unsure please feel free to email adultvolunteers@friscotexas.gov, opens a new window for clarification.

  • Please do one of the following: either remove yourself from the volunteer opportunity online or email us at adultvolunteers@friscotexas.gov, opens a new window to let us know that you won’t be able to make it.
