  • Cost: 25 cents per gram of plastic (Ultimaker S5 - Pro Bundle printers)

Get Started

A Frisco Library card is required to use our 3D printers.

Using the Ultimaker S5:

  1. Design your object. Tinkercad, opens a new window is free and easy to use.
  2. Prepare your design to print using Cura, opens a new window. Download our directions, opens a new window.
  3. Save your prepared file as a .UFP file on a portable USB A flash drive.
  4. Reserve a 3D printer, opens a new window. Reservations are required and walk-ins cannot be accommodated.
  5. Check in at the library for your reservation on the 2nd level of the library with your flash drive and photo ID.

Using the FormLabs 3:

  1. Design your object. Tinkercad is free and easy to use.
  2. Prepare your design to print using PreForm, opens a new window. Download our directions, opens a new window.
  3. Save your prepared file as a .form file on a portable USB A flash drive.
  4. Reserve the FormLabs 3D printer, opens a new window.
  5. Check in at the library for your reservation on the 2nd level with your photo ID and flash drive.

Rules

  • The printers may only be used for lawful purposes.
  • All jobs must be completed by the end of your reservation time.
  • Objects appropriate for a public library environment.
  • Objects must not infringe upon any third party's intellectual property rights.
  • Objects must not be illegal nor can they be construed as having the intent to harm.
  • The Library reserves the right to refuse access at the discretion of library staff.
  • Staff will not modify, create, or correct designs.
  • Limit: One (1) reservation per day up to 11 hours and only one (1) machine at a time.
  • Library card account must be in good standing to use equipment.
