2022 Flash Fiction Writing Contest Winners!

By FPL_AmyG

Every year the library holds its annual Flash Fiction Writing Contest and every year we have incredible stories that come out of 500 words or less. This year is no exception. Our three winning entries are The Soldier by Donna Anderson, Helicopter by J Ingram, and Along the Twilit Road by Katherine Nelson.

Hear two of our winning entries read aloud by their authors:

Donna Anderson’s The Soldier spins a fantastical tale that is both parts mysterious and strange. It would feel right at home in a Twilight Zone episode.

J Ingram’s Helicopter is dark and longing in tone and a bit heartbreaking as well. How far would you go to watch over your child?

You can also enjoy this year’s winning entries as well as previous winning entries by checking out our Flash Fiction Writing Contest 2022 eBook online.
