By FPL_AmyG

Life can be stressful at times, but using the library doesn’t have to be. Let the Library add a level of convenience to your day with these five library hacks and timesavers.

1. Pick up your holds at the drive-thru window.

Most people are aware that you can place holds on materials and then pick them up at the library, but did you know you can pick them up from the comfort of your car? All you need to do is select Drive-thru Window for your pickup location when placing your hold online. Then when you’re notified your holds are available, they’ll be waiting for you at our drive-thru window.

2. Use the library’s after-hours book return.

Can’t get to the library during library hours to return your books and media? No worries! The library has an outside book return that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Return your books, movies, and audiobooks in the drive-thru located behind the library. Best of all, these items are automatically turned in, like when you return items inside, clearing any overdue items from your account within minutes.

3. Manage study room and conference room reservations online.

Not able to make your reservation? You can cancel it online, opens a new window. Just select My Reservations located above the calendar, log in with your library card, and select cancel next to any reservation you can’t make. You can cancel reservations online, up until your reservation start time. My Reservations will also display the date, time, room, and door code if you’ve forgotten vital information about your reservation.

You can learn more about reserving a study or conference room online in our blog entitled, Reserve a Study or Conference Room, opens a new window

4. Print from your own device at home or in the library.

You may already know that you can print from your own device at the library, but did you know you can upload your prints from home and then pick them up at the library? All you need to do is download the PrinterOn app, opens a new window on your smartphone or tablet or upload your document on our website, opens a new window. Once at the library, just visit one of our Print stations and put in your email address to pay for and release your printouts.
