Asian Pacific American Heritage Month

By FPL_Gabriella

In the month of May, we celebrate the history, culture, and contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States. From acting trailblazers like Ke Huy Quan and Ali Wong to business leaders like Indra Nooyi and Sundar Pichai, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders have touched the lives of all Americans.

The official website for Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, opens a new window is run by The Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. This website is a great starting point to learn more about Asian American and Pacific Islander culture and history and offers several great online events during Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. The Smithsonian also offers digital exhibits about Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders through their Asian Pacific American Center, opens a new window online.
