When you can’t get to the library for one reason or another, let the library come to you and your child through TumbleBooks. You can use this resource for free on the Frisco Public Library website. All you need is your library card number and your password.
TumbleBooks is your online library geared to children in kindergarten through 6th grade. It offers talking picture books, early chapter books like Mercy Watson, various read-along chapter books such as Anne of Green Gables, Hana’s Suitcase, and Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew ( to name a few) in a relatable format sure to bring enjoyment and learning to your kiddos. Does your child like graphic novels? TumbleBooks has those too: Dinosaur Explorers, Geeky Fab 5, and The Sisters.
If your child needs to do a project that requires various sources, or just likes to read non-fiction, they will be able to read books on animals, history, geography, science, insects, and the seasons. Want to know about a famous person? Biographies are also available.
Have a student that likes National Geographic, or you need to supplement a lesson on baby elephants, giant pandas or the heart? Watch one of the National Geographic videos available on this site.
Reading or being read to are not the only activities available through TumbleBooks. It also offers the user access to TumbleTunes, puzzles, and games. Again, explore reading with your child in a whole new way through TumbleBooks.
