Are you 21 years old or older, a Frisco resident, and wanting to finish your high school diploma? The library has a few scholarships available for Career Online High School, thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Frisco Public Library, opens a new window.
Career Online High School has developed an accredited high school program that works well for adults who have at least completed the 8th grade, but not graduated or passed the GED exams. Their program has a high success rate, especially when paired with public libraries.
Students start by taking a prerequisite course to see if this program fits their learning style. When the student successfully completes the course within 2 weeks, they are invited in for an interview with library staff. The library’s role is to determine if the program is a good fit for the student, to provide access to resources, and communicate with the student throughout the program.
