Celebrating Native American Heritage Month

The original caption of this photo reads:  "Angelic La Moose, whose grandfather was a Flathead chief, wearing costume her mother made; full-length, standing, in front of a tent, Flathead Reservation, Montana."

Today, the Flathead Indian Reservation, opens a new window is home to the Confederated Salish and Kootenai tribes (CSKT). Approximately 5,000 residents live on or near the reservation. The tribes’ business holdings include timber industry sales and a co-license for the Kerr Dam.
