Introduction to Prompt Engineering for Generative AI

44min | Beginner

If you are a beginner looking to learn more about Natural Language Processing (NLP) capabilities or a developer wanting to get started with modern NLP APIs, this course offers a great introduction. Software developer and instructor Ronnie Sheer guides you through what large language models are and what problems they may be able to solve. Ronnie dives into text generation, starting with a warning to use text generation AI responsibly, then moving on to Chat GPT, GPT-3, and J1 with few-shot learning. He introduces you to the AI generated image landscape, then shows you how to use Dall-E and Midjourney. Plus, Ronnie goes over a couple of advanced concepts, like how to fine tune your prompts and how to interact with language models using an API.

Next Generation AI: An Intro to GPT-3

1hr 10min | General

In this course, instructor Dr. Jonathan Reichental introduces you to a hot topic in AI development: the GPT-3 (Generative Pre-trained Transformer 3) technology released by Open AI. Reichental describes the increasingly important role that AI is playing in business. He covers a brief history of AI, then tells you about how OpenAI got started, its mission and vision, and its unique charter. Reichental discusses the core concepts of GPT-3, how it adds value, and a few of its challenges and limitations. He describes the future of AI, then concludes with suggestions for next steps you and your organization can take relative to GPT-3 and AI.

How to Research and Write Using Generative AI Tools

1hr 15 | Beginner

Join instructor Dave Birss for a crash course in generative AI and learn how to get started with prompt engineering for ChatGPT and other AI chatbots to upskill as a researcher and a writer.

Dave shows you how to create effective prompts that deliver high-quality, task-relevant results. Get an overview of some of the key considerations of working with generative AI with hands-on, practical strategies to improve your research and writing. Find out how to summarize complex information, view subjects from multiple perspectives, build user personas and strategic models, analyze writing style, outline ideas, and generate new content. By the end of this course, you’ll be ready to leverage the power of ChatGPT and other chatbots to deliver more consistent writing outcomes every time.

Pair Programming with AI

1hr 28min | Advanced

If you’re a programmer, you’re probably curious (and maybe a little apprehensive) about what artificial intelligence can do for your work. In this course, Morten Rand-Hendriksen shows you how you can supercharge your software development with the help of an AI pair programmer. Morten shares practical strategies and hands-on practice on how to leverage AI tools like ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot to increase productivity and write better code. He demonstrates how to employ AI to address common tasks, how different AI tools differ, and offers an understanding of what is possible, how AI tools can fit into your work, and—importantly—where the current limits and guardrails are.
