Hear ye, hear ye, April is National Poetry Month! Which means we have 30 whole days to celebrate all the incredible poems and poets we love! Each year we like to celebrate with the library’s annual Youth Poetry Contest. Whether you’ve written a million poems or are thinking about writing your very first one, be ready to choose your favorite to enter into the 2022 poetry contest.
- Poets must be in 1st through 12th grade
- Entries are accepted online only, opens a new window from March 28 through April 22
Need a little help getting started? These books provide writing tips and information on different styles of poetry that will get you ready to bust out the quill, or regular pen, and start writing.
