Frisco Library Has Your SAT and ACT Test Prep Covered!

By FPL_JenB

If you or your child is heading towards college in the near future, you may want to know about the free resources available to you from Frisco Public Library!  Most people know that we have plenty of books - both physical and digital - that can help you get ready for these important entrance exams, but did you know we have lots of online preparation aids as well?

Here’s a breakdown of what you have access to with your library card:

Brainfuse, our online tutoring service, has practice tests for the PSAT, SAT, and ACT as well as overview and test-taking strategies for the SAT and ACT.  Brainfuse also has a section called CollegNow that can help guide you through the application process.

Gale Online Courses has two courses that run for 6 weeks each. SAT/ACT Prep Part 1 covers the reading, writing, and verbal portions for both tests and Part 2 covers math.

Learning Express Library offers tutorials for the SAT and ACT and practice tests for both of those as well as the PSAT.

All of the above information can be found in the Online Resources section of our website, then click on the A-Z Resource link to click on the one you want to explore.

Last but not least, Frisco Library frequently partners with area organizations to bring free practice tests to our community.  The next one will be administered on Friday, 2/14/20 at 2:00 pm by our friends at C2 Education.  Registration for this event is open and will close on Thursday 2/13/20 or when we fill up– whichever comes first.

So check out some - or all - of these resources and let us help you succeed.
