Hispanic Heritage Month spans from September 15 to October 15. This celebration recognizes the vibrant culture and significant cultural contributions of the Latin American and Hispanic communities in the United States. Hispanic Heritage Month is unique in that it spans across two months, beginning on Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua's independence days. There are 68 million Hispanic people living in the United States, which constitutes 20% of the country's population.
