Printing from Your Phone at FPL

Do you need something printed, but don't have a printer? Frisco Public Library offers basic printing for 15 cents per page (black-and-white) or 50 cents per page (color). Follow the steps to learn how you can print from your phone, quick and easy!

Before you begin, make sure that your file is already downloaded to your phone, in a place where you can easily find it. Examples include your photo app, or your ‘Files’ app in the ‘Downloads’ folder.

Step 1: Send to the Printer

Open the Frisco Library App. Please note that the app and the website are presented differently – make sure that you are looking at the app. Scroll to the bottom, then press Print From Your Own Device.

Wait a Moment. If your device is already connected to our ‘LIB-GUEST’ Wi-Fi, the code will automatically fill in. If not, use the code 106046.

Upload Your Files. Press Click here to select and upload a file. A range of choices will appear.

Settings for Success. If you’d like black-and-white vs. color, multiple copies, or double-siding printing, now is the time to select those options. Press the Settings gear next to your file to select your desired settings.

Enter Your Email Address. Press OK. You will not receive any emails by doing this. This email is just a ‘tag’ for your prints, which you will use again later.

Step 2: Release Your Print.

Find the Printing Station. Go to one of the printing stations on the first or second floor of the library. If you need help finding it, feel free to ask a staff member.

Ready, Set, Go! The printing station computer has a touchscreen. Press the big Print button.

Remember That Email Address? Type in the same email address that you entered into your phone, then press OK.

Almost Done!
1) Select your file on the touchscreen
2) P
ress Print in the upper left corner.

Select Your Payment Option. In this example, I used a credit/debit card. Make sure to press the image next to your choice, not the text!

Time to Pay. Use the credit card terminal on the right of the monitor. The printer sometimes needs a moment to ‘wake up.' If your print doesn’t appear within 5 minutes, ask a staff member for help.
