Asian Pacific American Heritage Month

Asian Pacific American Heritage Month is celebrated every May to honor the contributions and achievements of Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders, and Native Hawaiians in the United States. One great way to celebrate this month is to learn more about the history and culture of these great Americans, and fortunately, there are several ways to do that.

One is to visit the Smithsonian’s Asian Pacific American Center, opens a new window. It’s a fantastic online museum experience. 

Another is to visit the official website for Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month, opens a new window. This Web portal is a collaborative project of the Library of Congress and the National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and has a lot of great information.
