Dog Days of Summer (Reading)

By FPL_JenB

August is National Dog Month! Dogs can be great reading buddies to your kids. If you have a doggie member of your family, why not encourage your child to find a quiet moment and practice their reading with your pooch. (Stuffed animals work too!)

Here are a few of our favorite books that we love to read to dogs that also happen to feature dogs:

Dear Mrs. Larue

It's Only Stanley

The Perfect Dog

Love Is My Favorite Thing

Officer Buckle and Gloria

If you really want to treat your puppy this month, try making this fun tug toy, opens a new window with things you most likely already have around the house. We’re sure your pup will have a doggone good time playing tug!
