ESL Anywhere

Looking to continue your English language learning? The library has a variety of eBooks to assist you, as well as other online resources! Friscolibrary.com/esl is a great place to start. We have links to all of the Conversation and Vocabulary sheets that we utilize in our ESL Language Lab classes. These sheets are organized by level: Beginner 1 – 3, Intermediate 1 – 3, and Advanced 1 – 2. You can start from the beginning (Beginner 1) or jump in at the level that is best for you.

You’ll also see a link to an amazing resource, Mango Languages. You can either utilize Mango Languages as a guest or create an account to save your progress. I recommend creating an account to save your work and continue where you’ve previously left off. You can practice your English skills by selecting English as the language, or work on a language other than English.

After you select the language you’d like to learn or practice, Mango will ask you what your “mother tongue” or native language is. Once you choose your “mother tongue”, Mango will then shift into that language to translate as you learn the new language. The modules within Mango allow you to listen to spoken English and reply via text with your answers. This is a great way to interactively learn a language online!
