If you’re looking for something to do during these hot days of July, look no further than a comfy chair, a good book, and someone to read to. The Mayor’s Summer Reading Challenge (MSRC) at the Frisco Public Library is still going on and it’s not too late to sign up and take part in this fun event. Whether you sign up individually or as a family, you can win prizes up through Tuesday, August 9.
Your littlest ones can participate even though they can’t read yet. It’s the number of minutes someone reads to them that counts for them and you — if you’re the one doing the reading to. ? There is no need to keep track of the book titles or the author names, just mark down the number of minutes you read on your own or to someone else. Listening to audio books counts too!
Another time saver and way to earn those prizes is that you can count the number of minutes read, read to, or listened to all the way back to Friday, May 20 — guestimate the number of minutes and log them in.
