Let’s Go on a Spring Scavenger Hunt!

Guess what? Spring has finally arrived. Flowers are waking up from their long winter nap, birds are practicing their best songs, and everything outside feels bright, fresh, and full of surprises. It’s the PERFECT time for a Spring Outdoor Scavenger Huntthe kind of adventure where every leaf, rock, and tiny critter could be a clue.

Grab a basket, a bag, or even your hoodie with giant pockets. Every great explorer needs a place to stash their treasures (and maybe a snack… or three).

Ready to explore? Here’s a list of fun things to look for outside.

Find me! Springtime superstars—try to find one of each:

  • bunny
  • butterfly
  • paper wasp
  • bee
  • shrub with berries
  • squirrel
  • worm
  • bird’s nest

Collect Me! See what cool treasures you can find, but make sure you don’t pick anything that’s still growing!

  • colored pebble
  • stick that looks like a Y
  • green leaf
  • feather
  • yellow flower

Listen to Me! Use your super‑sonic explorer ears to hear:

  • birds singing
  • grasshoppers chirping
  • cicadas buzzing
  • water rushing in a creek

Spring is the BEST time to explore. Your backyard, a park, or even your sidewalk can be full of surprises. You can make your own scavenger hunt list, draw pictures of what you find, or even invent silly names for new discoveries.
