Mayor’s Summer Reading Challenge Isn’t Just for Kids

By FPL_Amy

You didn’t think the Mayor’s Summer Reading Challenge was just for kids, did you? The Mayor’s Summer Reading Challenge is back again with new tasks and activities to inspire you to read more this summer.

Read and log your minutes for a chance to win one of three bags of popular book club books. Earn unique badges, from the Caturday and Comic Connoisseur badges to the #ShelfieReader and Weekend Warrior badges by completing mini reading challenges and tasks. Entries into our grand prize drawings are earned at 300 minutes, 600 minutes, and 1000 minutes of reading. Read 10,000 minutes this summer for bragging rights, a badge, and an additional entry into our grand prize drawing!

For anyone looking to add more challenge to their reading, give our 13 reading prompts a try. Each reading prompt corresponds to a letter spelling out Frisco Library.

I’ve selected a few of my favorite badges below. What badges are you excited to earn? Visit the Mayor’s Summer Reading Challenge and login to your account to see a full list of badges, activities at home, and curated lists of book recommendations.
