Month two of the 2023 Friends’ Reading Challenge is here! We had a great response to the March challenge of reading an educational book that taught you something new. For April, the genre we are encouraging you to read is MYSTERY. Get to the bottom of the problem in a who-dun-it, figure out where something disappeared to, or solve the conundrum of a story.
The Friends Bookshop has a large section of adult mystery books and volunteers can help find something appropriate for younger readers. If you’d rather borrow a book the library has many titles and any great librarian can help you find something mysterious. The photos included with this post highlight just a few titles to inspire your selection of the perfect mystery.
Once you have solved the mystery come to the Friends Bookshop (1st floor, near the library elevator) and fill out an entry form to be entered in the monthly drawing. One winner will receive a $5 Book Bucks card to use in the Bookshop. Entries must be made by April 30th and a winner will be contacted the first week of May.
Enjoy being a sleuth this month and don’t forget to come by the Bookshop to enter the sweepstakes!
