Looking for summer fun? Look no further than your Frisco Public Library! Here’s your guide to some of the exciting activities happening at the Library this summer. Library programs have limited space, so make sure to arrive early to find parking and grab any necessary tickets.

Mayor’s Summer Reading Challenge

Monday Mindstretchers (formerly Wow! Wednesdays)
Weekly starting June 10

  • Enjoy weekly performances for guests in kindergarten through 5th grade and their families. For a list of all dates and performers please visit this link: Monday Mindstretchers, opens a new window.
  • Programs start at
    • 9:30AM
    • 11AM
    • 2:30PM
    • 4PM
    • 7PM
  • Limited tickets will be distributed in the lobby 30 minutes before the program starts. All members of your group must be present to obtain tickets.
  • Floor seating will be available for children. Limited chair seating will be available towards the back of the room for adults.

Summer Cinema

  • Beat the heat and join us at the library for a movie! Each film is rated PG and is perfect for elementary-aged audiences. See the schedule of dates and movies. , opens a new window
  • Doors to the Community Event Room open at 2:15PM, with movies starting at 2:30PM. Space is limited.
  • Don’t forget to bring your own blanket for seating and snacks to munch on during the show! Please be courteous and clean up after yourself to help maintain the cleanliness of our library.

Story Times

  • Family Story Time is geared toward ages 5 and under:            
    • Tuesdays, 10 & 11AM
    • Thursdays, 10 & 11AM
    • Fridays, 10 & 11AM
    • Saturdays, 10:30AM
  • Baby Story Time is for non-walking infants and their caregivers:           
    • Wednesdays, 10 & 11AM
  • Tickets for all story times are available at the children’s information desk starting 1 hour before the program begins. Plan to arrive 15-20 minutes before story time to find parking and get tickets.
  • Strollers can be parked outside of the glass story time room walls.

Tot’s Town & Kid's Club

  • These spaces are designed for interactive play and learning between grown-ups and their children. Actively engaging in play and exploration with your children is a great way to build literacy and problem-solving skills.
  • Tot’s Town is designed for ages 0-5
  • Kid's Club is designed for ages 6-12
    • Please note that Kids Club has activities for ages 6-12, including activities with small pieces.
  • Assist us in maintaining a safe and tidy environment for all visitors:
    • Actively supervise children at all times
    • Refrain from running
    • Keep feet on the floor and do not climb
    • Assist in tidying up materials once playtime is over
  • Park all strollers along the glass wall outside of Tot’s Town

Teen Programs

  • During the summer, teen programs are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and require pre-registration through the library website.
  • Our teen programs are for teens entering into grades 6 through 12.

  • Parking at the library is limited, so please plan to arrive early for events.
