Did you know that if you are looking for a book that the library does not own, there is a way for you to request that book from another library? There's no charge if you are a Frisco resident and a nominal $2.50 postal fee for all non-residents.
It’s easy! Just follow these steps:
1. Scroll to the bottom of this or any page on FriscoLibrary.com.
2. Click on “Interlibrary Loan” under the "Services" column in the footer.
3. Then click on where it says “Search the SHAREit site, opens a new window”
4. Sign in using your library card number and password.
5. Once you have signed in, search for the book you want by using the search bar at the top of the page.
6. Next, select the format you would like (e.g. Book, DVD, audiobook, etc.)
7. Then click on the ‘Request’ button on the right hand side of the screen.
8. Finally, confirm that your email address is correct, and hit ‘Submit’
Congratulations! You’ve done it! The item has been requested and you now know how to use this great resource to request books from libraries all over Texas. Your item will arrive in about 7 weeks.
