Nothing feels quite like the start of a new year than setting reading goals and finding fun reading challenges to participate in throughout the year. Reading challenges help me reach my reading goals and are great for those trying to get back into reading. Below are some of my favorite 2023 Reading Challenges; pick one and get reading today!

2023 POPSUGAR Reading Challenge, opens a new window
Every year I look forward to this popular reading challenge. Their reading prompts are so varied and interesting that I always find something new to read. My favorite prompt from this year’s challenge is “A book you bought from an independent bookstore.” Not that I need one, but it’s always nice to have an excuse to buy a new book, especially when buying locally. -
The StoryGraph Reading Challenge, opens a new window
If you’re unfamiliar with The StoryGraph, it’s basically a reading tracker similar to Goodreads, only waaay cooler, especially if you love lots of reading stats. (Check out our previous blog post for all the ins-and-outs of The StoryGraph., opens a new window
They have an entire section of their platform dedicated to reading challenges. They have challenges that the creators of The StoryGraph created as well as challenges created by its users. I love that you can search their challenges by category or key word.

#TBRChallenge 2023, opens a new window
A new challenge that I recently stumbled upon, challenges readers to tackle their TBR list. It’s perfect for all those unread books sitting on your bookshelves. -
2023 Books in Translation Reading Challenge, opens a new window
With this reading challenge you’re reading books that have been translated from one language into another. This is a wonderful way to diversify your reading list or read more in a language you are learning.
Check out these newly published titles to add to your reading lists and challenges!
