Ready for some summer fun? The Frisco Public Library has you covered! Check out this handy guide to all the exciting events and activities happening this season. Many programs have limited spots available, so be sure to come early to secure parking and pick up any required tickets. 

Mayor’s Summer Reading Challenge, opens a new window

Community Science Night, opens a new window
June 5, 6:00–8:00pm

  • Start your summer with a Science Extravaganza! Join us for an evening of hands-on fun with 20+ community partner and interactive stations for the whole family.
  • This is a 2-hour, come-and-go event, so swing by early to make the most of the experience before we wrap up at 8:00pm.

Monday Mindstretchers, opens a new window
Weekly starting June 9

  • Join us each week for exciting performances designed for children in Kindergarten—5th grade. Full lineup of dates and performers!, opens a new window
  • Programs start at
    • 9:30am
    • 11:00am
    • 2:30pm
    • 4:00pm
    • 7:00pm
  • Tickets will be distributed in the lobby 30 minutes before the program starts, doors open 10-15 minutes before the program begins. Everyone in your group must be present to receive tickets.
  • Seating is first come, first served. Floor spots are available up front with limited chair seating in the back.
  • To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, please keep an eye on your children and encourage them to stay seated and paying attention during the performance.

Summer Cinema, opens a new window

  • Cool off with an afternoon movie at the library. We’ll be showing family-friendly films rated G or PG. Full schedule of movie titles and dates., opens a new window 
  • The Community Event Room opens at 2:15pm, with the movie starting at 2:30pm. No tickets are needed, but space is limited, so come early to grab a spot.
  • Don’t forget to bring your own blanket for seating and snacks to munch on during the show. Please be courteous and clean up after yourself to help maintain the cleanliness of our library.

Story Times, opens a new window

  • Family story times geared towards ages 5 and under are held:
    • Tuesdays at 10:00 & 11:00am
    • Thursdays at 10:00 & 11:00am
    • Fridays at 10:00 & 11:00am
    • Saturdays at 10:30am
  • Baby story times for non-walking infants and their caregivers are held:
    • Wednesday at 10:00 & 11:00am
  • Tickets for all story times are available at the children’s information desk starting 1 hour before the program begins. Plan to arrive at least 15-20 minutes before story time to find parking and get tickets.
  • Strollers can be parked outside of the glass Storytime room walls.

Tot’s Town & Kids Club, opens a new window

  • These spaces are designed for interactive play and learning between grown-ups and their children. Actively engaging in play and exploration with your children is a great way to build literacy and problem-solving skills.
  • Tot’s Town is designed for ages 0–5.
  • Kid's Club is designed for ages 6–12.
    • Please note that Kid's Club has activities for ages 6–12, including activities with small pieces.
  • Assist us in maintaining a safe and tidy environment for all visitors:
    • Actively supervise children at all times.
    • Refrain from running.
    • Keep feet on the floor and do not climb.
    • Assist in tidying up materials once playtime is over.
  • Park all strollers along the glass wall outside of Tot’s Town.

  • Parking at the library is limited, so please plan to arrive early for events.
