It’s my favorite time of year–music wrap up season–where we learn all about our friends' and our own music tastes. Without further ado, here is what your Frisco Public Library staff have been listening to this year.
This year, my number of minutes listened went up–I listened to over 124,000 minutes of music. The amount of reading I did this year increased, and because of that, the amount of ambient music I needed also increased, so lo-fi was in heavy rotation. That’s why Laffey, opens a new window came out on top as my number-one artist.
Assata listened to more than 75,000 minutes this year, with Hozier and Kali Ushis coming in as her top artists. Her top song was "luther" (but somehow Kendrick Lamar didn’t make it into her top 5).
Marie listened to more than 22,000 minutes this year, and once again, Fall Out Boy was her number one artist.
Marissa listened to over 16,000 minutes of music this year, with Natalia Lafourcade and Bad Bunny taking the top artists spots on her list.
Charlie’s 2025 wrapped looked similar to her 2024 wrapped. She listened to 48,572 minutes, with Tyler, the Creator, Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter, Baby Keem, and Doechii rounding out her top artists and The Ghost of You being one of her top songs.
