The new library has been open for just over six months which means the Bookshop has been open that long too! Sales at the Bookshop have exceeded our wildest dreams and the money that we have raised will be invested directly into library needs that aren’t met by the Library's budget.
The success of the Bookshop is directly related to the generous community that we live in and the number of donations that we receive. Every item we sell in the shop once belonged to someone else and we are so grateful that it was passed along to us. We continue to need and accept donations in the Bookshop! Donations can only be accepted during Bookshop hours, which can be viewed here along with the types items we accept, opens a new window.
There are a few more ways you can help support our mission of making the Frisco Public Library the best around! One easy way to support us is to follow us on Facebook. We often post Bookshop announcements, sales, and specials on that page. We find it an efficient way to communicate quickly so go to our Facebook page and JOIN, opens a new window!
Another opportunity to support us is to JOIN US! We are always looking for new members! Individual annual memberships are available for $25 and gives you access to our monthly e-newsletter, bi-monthly membership meetings with fellowship, as well as opportunities to volunteer in the Bookshop and at other events. Members also receive a $5 Book Bucks card that can be used to find your next great read for a great price in the Bookshop! You can join right in the Bookshop so stop by and see us!
The final opportunity for support is a special event we participate in annually called North Texas Giving Day. This event is the largest single day fundraising event in Texas and non-profits all over North Texas take part. Our goal is to raise $2500 and that money is earmarked to purchase books for the shelves in the Library. The new Library was built to better grow with Frisco and the City is growing fast! Books have been flying off the shelves and that means we NEED MORE BOOKS. So all proceeds raised on NTX Giving Day will support adding more titles to the Library's collection.
